Tom Reilly and the Swaggers win Kan Rag Kernow 2016

Keslowena / Congratulations! to Tom Reilly and The Swaggers who performed ‘Lugh Glow’ (which refers to the hard life of a miner) in the Cornish language.

These winners of this evening’s Kan Rag Kernow / Song for Cornwall held in the ballroom of Redruth’s Penventon Hotel and now to represent Kernow at the Pan Celtic Song Competition, Pan Celtic Festival in Ceatharlach, Co. Carlow, Eire/Ireland on 29 March to 3 April, 2016!

TR&SwaggersCompeting against four other groups of an extremely high standard, with wonderful songs in Cornish, the panel of Judges chose Tom Reilly and The Swaggers.

A packed audience cheered the winners who now go on to challenge teams from the other Nations of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Brittany and the Isle of Man.

Kernow has been hugely successful down the years winning the annual competition no less than seven times in this 21st Century!
