Kernow turned Blue, or perhaps only 43% Blue?

Last week’s general election for the Westminster Parliament has resulted in a clean sweep of the 6 seats for the Tories (Conservative & Unionist Party).

The once strong Cornish liberal political tradition appears to have died, with the remaining Liberal Democrats routed by a dramatic fall in their vote, post entering Coalition with the Tories 5 years ago!

Aided by the Medieval era anti-democratic first past the post, highest vote system,  the  blue stood out.

Anyone else failed to make a mark.

The reason/s for the votes falling as they did are a matter for sober analysis, particularly by the key losers. That analysis is best left for another day.

So in snap shot the result is:

MP percentage Tory = 100%; Tory Vote percentage  = 43% ; Unrepresented Cornish people = 57%
