Loveday Jenkin seeks your support to represent Wendron on Cornwall Council

Loveday Jenkin is Mebyon Kernow – The Party for Cornwall’s candidate for the by-election to fill the Wendron division vacancy on Konsel Kernow / Cornwall Council caused by the sad death of hard-working Independent councillor Mike Clayton.

A former leader and national executive member of MK Loveday is also an experienced councillor, who served her constituents on Kerrier District Council from 1995 until 2009, (when it was abolished for the Unitary Authority that is now Cornwall Council). She has also served on Crowan Parish Council for over 16 years.

MP party leader in Cornwall Council, Cr. Dick Cole said, “I believe that Loveday has the experience to be a strong Cornwall Councillor for her local area, which includes Crowan, Praze-an-Beeble, Sithney and Wendron parishes, and I hope that we can all get behind her campaign and get her elected”.

Loveday is well known in Cornwall, and indeed worldwide, for her long history of working for Cornwall and showing her love for Cornwall and its people and unique heritage.

She works in the field of environment and heritage in Cornwall and lives  in Crowan Parish with her family.
Loveday has already nominated and is out and about to seek the views and support of voters in the area.

The bye-election is to be held on 24 November 2011
